Polly Higgins is the leading international lawyer who has proposed to the United Nations that a law of Ecocide be made an international crime. A mock trial was held in London last year at the UK Supreme Court with top barristers. The University Essex will be hosting the sentencing event on March 31st.

This talk will be of particular interest to those in the environmental and human rights community.
Polly has launched a global campaign to make Earth Law at the Earth Summit, in June 2012. She will also speak about how to mobilise students and lawyers in one of the world’s most ambitious social media events ever to be built.
